The current rate for semi-custom longarm quilting, which includes placement of 2-3 designs, is .04 cents per square inch. During the holiday rush season the rate becomes .05 cents per square inch from October 1 to December 31.

Fully custom, digitized quilting may require an additional labor charge for a higher number of design set-up times.

Please consider getting your gift quilts submitted prior to the October 1 thru December 31 premium rate time period.

As an example: your quilt top is 60 inches x 80 inches.

           60 x 80 = 4800 x .03 = $144.00

Our minimum quilting charge is $50. This means that a small, quilted project or table runner's square inch price will be rounded up to the $50 minimum.

Batting

We love to use and keep in stock Fairfield Toasty Cotton 100% cotton batting with a polyester scrim for added strength. This batting has a low loft, minimal shrinkage, and holds up well after quilting and washing. We carry a selection of Quilter's Dream battings i.e. Request Natural or White low loft 100% cotton or their Select mid loft 100% natural cotton. If we do not have stock on what you want, such as 80/20 Poly/Cotton blend, 100% Polyester, 100% Wool, or Bamboo etc, we will order the desired batting and charge extra for any shipping or processing costs. Please ask for current availability on your batting choices and know it might impact the turn-around time on your quilt order if you want a specific batting.

You are welcome to acquire the right amount of your favorite batting yourself and deliver it along with your quilt top. The measurements for batting are the same as for backing: 4-plus-4 or 8 inches wider and 8 inches longer than the quilt top.

Batting is a separate charge if you're not providing it with your order. Batting is NOT included in the square inch price for quilting. We charge for in-stock batting by the linear inch from queen-size (90" - 93" wide) rolls of batting except in the case of special orders.  We will use only what is needed for your quilt (the smallest side plus a 5 inch margin) and charge per linear inch. You are welcome to take any left-over batting to use in craft projects etc. as it becomes part of your purchase.

For example, you have a 57" x 80" quilt, t for both.he needed size of batting and batting is 65" x 88"

we cut 65" (57" + 8" add-on) off of the 90-93" roll of the batting of your choice = 65"x90-93"

These are estimates only. Exact pricing for batting is included on the Longarm Order Form.
65" of 100% cotton mid loft @ $0.45/in = $29.25

65" of 100% cotton low loft @ $0.35/in = $22.75
65" of 80/20 cotton/poly blend @ $0.40/in = $26.00
65" of 100% poly @ $0.30/in = $19.50

Thread

We stock a variety of threads including Glide (#40 & #50 weight poly), Gutermann (#50 wt. cotton), Coats & Clark (#30-#50 wt. Egyptian cotton), Aurifil (#30 wt. cotton), Robison-Anton and others. We don't charge any extra fees for thread use, except when variegated (King Tut by Superior, #40 wt. 3-ply Egyptian cotton) is requested which costs more than solid color threads. The basic solid color threads are included in your square inch price.

We attempt to match or blend thread color with the lightest areas of your quilt. However, this is YOUR quilt! Let us know if you have a preference on the thread color. For appearances and balance and to keep sewing tension consistent, we recommend the same type and brand of thread on top and on back.

Photography

We're not a professional photographer but we try to take decent photos of each quilt order upon completion of the quilting. We will take photos of your quilt and take the best of those images and post them here in our portfolio of work to promote our services.

We ask that you give us permission to display your quilt publicly here or on other social media like Instagram. The only information we give out is the dimensions and the location of the work unless you want us to publish information about your work along with the photo of your quilt (pattern designer, piecework done by, and designer/brand of fabrics used etc.). A separate release regarding this photo record is located on the In-Take form. We will be glad to forward a digital copy of these promo photos to you by providing us with an email address or phone number to email or text the photo to you once payment of services has been received.

Be sure the box is securely taped and labeled clearly to insure it reaches us.

We will send your quilt back to you in the manner described above via USPS Priority mail (using flat rate when possible/economical). Priority mail comes with $100 of insurance and a tracking number but please indicate on your order if you would like to buy any additional insurance.
